WhiteAir flagFresh from Windfest and with just enough time back in the office to get the piccys on the website, we spent Thursday night with Tom organising websites for riders; watch this space the templates look amazing, before getting up very very early for a 5.30am crossing!

kites at WhiteAirWe arrived at the White Air site at 7.00am on Friday morning but weren’t destined to start work immediately. An early morning cuppa ended with a trip to A & E with Jo suffering 2nd degree burns after the handle decided to fall off the kettle; so much for the 5 year guarantee! Still the show must go on and ever the true professionals we set about making up for lost time.

The White Air site looked busy than ever with even more activities than last year; some Kitesurf tent with Thundercat bannerslandboard ramp with grafitti Thundercat at WhiteAirstrategic planning having obviously taken place. With a line up of Windsurfing, Kitesurfing, Stand Up Paddle, Thundercats, Jet Ski displays, Mountain Boarding, Land boards, BMX, Mountain Bike displays, Powerstilters, Skateboarding, Skate, Parkour, FMX, Trikkes, Adrenaline Wind Tunnel, Have A Go Sessions, the amazing RAF Red Arrows & Falcons display teams, and not forgetting the music which included The Pigeon Detectives & Rob Da Bank in the line up, White Air 2008 was certainly up for it this year.

JetskiThe sun shone for the entire weekend, probably the best weather we’ve seen for any festival this year; not a problem for the spectators but it did mean no wind for the windsurfing and kitesurfing events.

Monster FMX team at WhiteAir 2008Monster FMX sphere at WhiteAir 2008Monster FMX sphere at WhiteAir 2008Fresh from the USA and new to White Air was the BBR Motor Sports Team with the awesome ‘Ball of Steel’. With an average age of 22, these guys are one of the youngest FMX display teams around. Sponsored by Monster Energy drink, the No 1 energy drink in America, the team have been touring the USA for the past few years before hitting the UK for the first time this year. Check out the piccys & video, absolutely nuts! We will be featuring these guys in our October rider profile section. too close

One other thing guys ....dont get to close to these guys, it may sound strange when they're inside a steel ball but we were allowed to get really close to the action (see the middle image above).

Check this out for a close shot as the tyre went past the lens..

Red Arrowsred arrows8P1C3376.JPGThe Red Arrows display team returned to White Air and once again stunned the crowd with their aerobatic brilliance. Using amazing skill and precision, these guys really are geniuses of the sky.

Trampa

The Trampa team put on a number of displays throughout the weekend. Pulling off front and back flips, they made it all look so easy, yeah right!

The powerstilters and parkour bunch got in on the action too and with the help of the Corona promo car produced some fantastic photo opportunities.

With the crowd already fired up from two days of action they were ready to party! A wicked set, awesome dancing courtesy of the powerstilters and a great atmosphere, what more can you ask?8P1C3029.JPG8P1C3077.JPG8P1C3068.JPG8P1C3103.JPG8P1C3183.JPG
